Workshop on Agent-Oriented Software Development Methodology A
part of the 2008 Systemics
and Informatics World Congress (SIWN 2008)
With the rapid
development of Internet and Web into a computational platform for
information systems and the emergent of mobile computing facilities,
software systems are becoming more and more complicated and dynamic
everyday. The powerful infrastructures and platforms on which software
systems operates on offer opportunities as well as impose challenges to
efficient development of software systems with powerful functionality,
great flexibility and high quality. Agent-orientation has been regarded as
a promising approach to meet such challenges in the development of
software systems that deal with dynamic environments such as the Internet
and to take the advantages of such powerful platforms. Recent years have
seen a rapid growth of research in agent oriented methodologies. A number
of different approaches to agent-oriented software development have been
proposed and advanced in the past years. Following the previous editions,
AOSDM 2008 aims to attract participants from communities of agent-oriented
